How Etipas-Beta works

This is a combination, and each component works through a different route. Etizolam enhances the effect of GABA, the brain's principal calming neurotransmitter, at its receptor. The result is reduced anxiety, muscle relaxation and sedation within an hour. This class works quickly, which is exactly why it is useful and exactly why it needs care: tolerance and dependence develop with continued use, so it is prescribed for short defined courses or to cover the first weeks while a longer-term medicine takes effect. Etizolam is a thienodiazepine rather than a true benzodiazepine, but it acts on the same receptor and carries the same dependence potential. It is a Schedule H1 medicine in India, which means the sale has to be recorded. Propranolol is a non-selective beta blocker, and it is one of the best-established migraine preventives -- probably by stabilising the vascular and neuronal excitability that starts an attack. It also blocks the physical side of anxiety: the racing heart, the tremor, the sweating. Because it works on the body rather than the mind, it is useful where those physical symptoms are what the person actually finds disabling. Attacking the same problem by two routes usually achieves more at lower doses of each than pushing one component higher.
