How Taurib-MR8 works

This is a combination, and each component addresses a different part of the problem. This is a COX-2 selective inhibitor. Cyclo-oxygenase exists in two forms: COX-1 maintains the protective lining of the stomach, while COX-2 is produced mainly at sites of inflammation. Targeting COX-2 preferentially aims to keep the anti-inflammatory effect while leaving more of the stomach's own protection intact. Centrally acting muscle relaxants work on the spinal cord and brainstem rather than on the muscle itself. They damp down the reflex loops that hold a muscle in spasm, so the muscle releases. This matters because in most back and neck pain the spasm is itself a source of pain, and treating the inflammation alone leaves that part untouched. Together in one tablet they cover more of what is actually causing the pain than any single agent would.
