How Urozosin-T 2.5 works

This is a combination, and each component works on a different part of the problem. Tadalafil at this low daily dose is not being used for erectile function alone. It inhibits PDE5 in the smooth muscle of the prostate, bladder neck and the vessels supplying them, relaxing the same tissue an alpha blocker acts on but by a different route. Since erectile dysfunction and prostate symptoms occur together in a large share of older men, treating both with one tablet is the point of the combination. Alfuzosin blocks alpha-1 receptors on the smooth muscle of the prostate and bladder neck. An enlarged prostate obstructs urine flow in two ways: the gland is physically bigger, and the muscle within it is held tight. Relaxing that muscle widens the channel within days, which is why an alpha blocker improves the stream and the straining long before anything shrinks the gland. Alfuzosin in its extended-release form gives a steady level through the day and is generally well tolerated on blood pressure. One tablet in place of two matters in a condition treated for years.
