The prostate range covers tamsulosin, silodosin and alfuzosin as alpha blockers, with dutasteride and tadalafil combinations. Silodosin is the most selective of the three for the receptor found in the prostate rather than in blood vessels, so it causes the least drop in blood pressure, which matters in an older man already on antihypertensives. For the bladder there is mirabegron with solifenacin and flavoxate alone and with nitrofurantoin.

On the nephrology side the range covers sevelamer as a calcium-free and aluminium-free phosphate binder, calcium polystyrene sulfonate for hyperkalaemia, ketoanalogues with essential amino acids that let a protein-restricted diet be followed without malnutrition, febuxostat for gout, and N-acetylcysteine with taurine for antioxidant support. Potassium magnesium citrate covers stone prevention and D-mannose with cranberry covers recurrent urinary infection.

Much of this range goes to patients with reduced kidney function, who clear impurities less well than anyone else, so impurity profiling and raw material identity are given more weight here, not less.
