How Kv?le works

Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, which is what separates it from the other exfoliating acids: it can travel into the pore rather than working only on the surface. Inside, it dissolves the plug of sebum and dead cells that starts a blocked pore. That is why it is the acid used for acne-prone and oily skin, while the water-soluble acids are used for texture and tone. Kojic acid and clair blanche inhibit tyrosinase, the copper-containing enzyme that takes the first step in making melanin. Kojic acid works by chelating the copper the enzyme needs, which is a gentler route than the harsher depigmenting agents and one that does not carry their risk with prolonged use. The effect builds over weeks and holds only while the product continues to be used. Putting them in one formulation means the routine stays short, which is the main reason people keep to it.
