About the Respules range

In this segment the device matters as much as the molecule. A nebuliser needs no coordination at all, which is why it is used for infants, for the elderly, and for anyone too breathless to manage an inhaler. A rotacap needs enough inspiratory effort to lift the powder. An inhaler is fast and portable but needs the press and the breath coordinated. The same budesonide behaves differently through each.

The range covers budesonide and fluticasone respules, levosalbutamol and salbutamol, levosalbutamol with ipratropium, budesonide with levosalbutamol, budesonide with formoterol in respules, rotacaps and inhaler, glycopyrronium for COPD maintenance, and hypertonic saline at 3 per cent and 7 per cent.

An inhaled product is judged on what the eye cannot check: particle size, because only particles in a narrow range reach the small airways at all, and delivered dose uniformity from first respule to last. Both are tested on every batch.
